Help:
Feel free to ask the lab assistant questions if you need help
on a closed lab assignment.
Attendance:
Everyone is expected to attend all of the closed labs.
As the first few minutes of lab are sometimes spent giving instructions,
it is important to be there at the very start.
Most labs take the full lab period.
If you miss a lab, it is your responsibility to learn the material
and pick up any graded work that was returned.
CLA Submission:
Instructions on using the Gus handin command to
perform electronic submissions will be given in class.
CLA Policy:
Generally each closed lab assignment must be turned in to
the lab assistant by the end of the lab period.
If you have attended the entire lab session,
but are unable to complete the lab that session,
you may turn in the lab by 7pm Friday without penalty.
If you miss all or part of a lab session,
you may turn in the lab by 7pm Friday, but with a 50% penalty.
Overdue lab assignments will not be accepted after Friday, 7pm.
If you cannot attend lab on a particular day, you can arrange
(in advance) with the lab assistant to complete the assignment early
and submit it without a penalty.
CLA Grading:
Closed lab assignments are graded on a 100 point scale.
Graded assignments are returned the next week.
It is a good idea to save graded assignments;
if there is any disagreement about the recorded grades,
you will need to show the graded assignment to document the mistake.
