Costs
Scholarships and Financial Aid
- The first eight students who complete pre-approval and make their deposits by January 15 are eligible for a $500 scholarship. (Contact the Education Abroad Office for details.)
- Students GPA's over 2.0 may be awarded special Education Abroad Scholarships. The typical award is $675.
- Additional scholarships may be available for CBAS students, honors students, Buchanan scholars, and Physics majors. (Contact Dr. Wallin for details.)
- There is a 25% discount on study abroad tuition for MTSU students.
- You typically can use your Hope scholarship and other financial aid for Study Abroad courses, although some limitations apply.
- There are several scholarships available for qualified MTSU students. CBAS and Physics students are eligible for additional funds as well! Talk with Dr. Wallin for details.
- Students in the Honors College or Buchanan Scholars are Eligible for Additional Scholarships.
- Costs will be higher for students who are not full-time students at MTSU.
Payments
For this course, there are three payment deadlines.
- January 15, 2024- Non-refundable 1st payment of $500
- Febuary 16, 2024- Second payment of $1100
- April 5, 2024 - Third payment of $1000*
The program fee includes the costs of housing, transportation in the UK, admission to museums and sites, and most meals.
The program fee does not include:
- Airfare to and from Heathrow airport
- Tuition (about $850 after the 25% study abroad discount)
- Some meals and personal expenses (about $300).
- Passport fees ($140 for a new passport, $100 for renewing a password, or nothing if you already have a passport)
- The study abroad fee ($80), an INEXT (insurance) card ($35)
