Students for Environmental Action's mission is to actively create the space for a community of sustainable lifestyle policy by educating on issues concerning the human condition, responsibility, and relationship with the Earth.
Every semester, SEA holds a wetlands cleanup at Murfree Springs. It's a great opportunity to give back to the community! The parks department provides gloves, trash bags, waders, and canoes to us.
During our most successful cleanup, we removed over 800 pounds of trash and recyclables in one day! Can we top that this time?
If you have never been to the wetlands, it is a great walking trail right in the middle of town full of diverse plant and animal life. Bring a friend!
Join students from across the state in Nashville to lobby our state legislators for comprehensive energy/environmental policies. We'll have a briefing on current state bills and a quick lobby training, then we'll be off to meet with our Tennessee Congressmen.
