MySQL Account Reset Tool Now Available

A brand new utility is available that will allow you to fix the most common problems with your MySQL account.

By visiting the MySQL database reset tool on the left menu bar you can:
  • Fix permission problems -- If you get access denied errors while working on your database structure then this is what you need!
  • Change your MySQL password
  • Recreate your database from scratch (Get a new empty database)
You can use this tool on your regular domain account OR on a class account given to you by your professor for database interaction.
There is no waiting for the CS support staff... The repair is performed immediately!

For those of you who don't like netbeans

I've also installed Geany on the linux machines. You can get to it by clicking "Applications," then "Programming," then "Geany." It's a very lightweight IDE that doesn't do much in the way of debugging, but it's got a symbol browser, and good scripting integration. I may install code::blocks later if there's enough demand. Let me know!

It's spreading.

linux06 and linux07 have snuck back into the lab somehow.  I'm afraid to confront them about it so they'll probably be there a while.

Post in the forums!
